A retirement home for The Dominican Sisters of Thai Binh Vietnam

The Dominican Sisters of Thai Binh Vietnam is a congregation of Vietnamese catholic nuns formed in March of 2004 by their Original Dominican Sisters of Vietnam. In the 18 years since establishment, the congregation has expanded to a total of 190 sisters, most of whom are still actively working and helping the needy and the poor in 5 different dioceses throughout Vietnam. Their urgent need is to have an adequate retirement home built where they can properly house and care for the elderly sisters.

Currently there are 25 nuns ages 70 to 90 in deteriorating health. They do not have a proper and safe home to live out the declining years of their life in safety and with dignity.

Estimated cost to build this retirement home structure is estimated to be $350,000 US dollars.  The interior furnishings and equipment will be addressed at a later date.

Montessori education at Binh Minh School, Thai Binh Vietnam

Binh Minh is a Catholic Preschool offering a Montessori style of education for children ages 3 to 5.  Thai Binh Province is a rural area predominately populated by low income farming families. These children of preschool age usually do not experience any preschool environment but instead stay at home alone or at best with extended relatives. Because of the poverty trap, these children do not have the same equal opportunity of learning in their early age. Our foundation is happy to offer tuition assistance for the children in this area of whom parents are unable to provide them with a head start in education.

Currently, tuition for 1 child is approximately $70.00 USD per month or $700.00 USD per year. This covers school tuition, school supplies, meals and snacks for each child, on a daily basis.

For 2023- 2024, we aim to support 25 children.
